Geronimo's Path to Success

Geronimo Vargas

At 57 years old, Geronimo Vargas is proving that it’s never too late to learn, grow, and pursue a new career. Originally from Mexico, Geronimo’s journey has been shaped by resilience.

When he was just 13, he lost his father to cancer. As one of four children, he watched his mother shoulder the responsibility of supporting the family and keeping them in school—a lesson in strength that has stayed with him throughout his life.

When Geronimo arrived in the United States not long ago, he faced a new challenge: learning English. Despite the difficulty, he continues to study daily while completing his computer technology coursework. His goal is clear—finish his classes, prepare for the A+ certification exam, and begin a career in the field of computer technology.

In class, Geronimo is known for his teamwork and kindness. He readily helps classmates understand assignments and collaborates with them to solve problems. Outside of school, he gives back by helping keep neighborhood streets clean and participating in community watch efforts.

Geronimo’s dedication, service, and steady determination make him an inspiring member of our school community.

Geronimo brings energy, experience, and heart to our school—and we’re proud to highlight his journey.
