Judith Alejandro

Judith Alejandro was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, and grew up in a small village with her grandparents. At 17, she made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States.

Arriving in a new country was overwhelming—she didn’t speak English and felt far from her family and familiar traditions. Still, Judith pushed through the challenges and managed her emotions with strength and determination.

After settling in Los Angeles, Judith worked for many years in a restaurant. Her journey took a major turn the day she discovered English classes. From that moment, her confidence and opportunities began to grow. She later secured a new job at a pizzeria, where she now delivers pizzas, and she continues to set ambitious goals for her future.

Judith’s dreams include becoming either a nurse or a stylist. Today, she proudly holds conversations in English and feels optimistic about reaching her goals. She is married and has a daughter, and one of her proudest accomplishments is being able to help her daughter with her homework—something that once felt impossible. 
Judith’s journey is a powerful reminder of perseverance and the importance of education.

Her message to others is simple but strong: Never give up.
